We are so glad that you are considering admissions to Ambleside School of Fredericksburg.
The first step in the admissions process is a school tour. While you are here, you will learn about Ambleside’s unique philosophy and method of education. You will tour the school, observe in classrooms, see examples of student work and have the opportunity to talk through any questions you may have. We ask that children remain at home for the first visit. Applicant students will be welcomed to the school at a later date for an assessment and/or student Discovery Day.

2025/2026 Admissions Timeline
After your school tour, the following timeline delineates the important due dates for the 2025/2026 admissions season. Please note that our admissions process typically takes 2-4 weeks.
Monday, March 3rd
New Student Applications will be accepted.
March through April
Upon receipt of a completed application, a Student Assessment (grades K4 - 5 enrolling) or Student Discovery Day (grades 6 - 12 enrolling) is scheduled and the Family Interview follows.
July 31st
Enrollment closes. (Please note that if the admissions process has not started by July 18th, 2025 a start date of the first day of school cannot be guaranteed.)
Admissions Fee
The following fee is due upon submission of your application.
Application Fee: $200 per new family. One-time fee, non-refundable.
Fee is payable in the Ambleside Front Office by check/cash or use this APPLICATION FEE LINK to pay online.
